L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Mascara

Yas! Another mascara review. As I have said, they are my favorite to review. I don’t know why but I LOVE mascara and trying new ones out. I got my paws on the Voluminous Feline Mascara from L’Oreal last week and have been giving him a good go.

Honestly, I bought this one purely based on pretty packaging cause how cute is this tube? And I have always had good experience with the Voluminous line too.

Well, spoiler: I kind of hate this mascara. It’s hella clumpy, chunky, and just plain crap in my opinion.

L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Mascara

I think it’s the wand more than the formula. These stubby little plastic spikes do nothing. It basically just slathered on the mascara in a thick coating of what feels like tar. photo gayebieber94 189_zpspsy2mhia.png

I hate giving bad reviews and most time I just wouldn’t bother with writing one but this mascara just made me mad by how bad it sucked. I was hoping it would be like the Voluminous Butterfly Mascara cause that one is awesome with a truly unique wand, and I really love all the other mascaras I have tried from L’Oreal. I mean, the Superstar Mascara and the Double Extends are amazing but this one missed the mark and it missed hard. This is why I avoided the Miss Manga one. I prefer feathery fluffy lashes.

L’Oreal presents Voluminous Feline Mascara for instant volume and ferocious full lash density. The new cat eye look: so powerful, so captivating, so feline.

Benefits:

  • Quick-charge brush captures each lash to deliver instant volume and fullness
  • Quick-charge, ultra-glossy black formula provides the feline volume and shiny smooth lashes in one coat
  • Ophthalmologist and allergy tested
  • Suitable for sensitive eyes
  • Tested under dermatological control

One Coat

Not the worst in the world, but kind of spidery.

Coat Two

A clumpy mess with coat two. It may not look that awful in the pic, but in person and on daily use it looked pretty crappy. More often than not I ended up with what looked like five stubby sad lashes.

This is still just two coats after I cleaned up all the mess which is fine. It’s a new mascara that’s a wet formula. It’s going to get one your lid. It’s the clump that bothered me. Anyway, I cleaned up the mistakes and brushed through the lashes with a metal lash comb which created a whole new mess of flakes bit it did improve the look of the lashes.

All in All, not worth the effort.I’m hoping it will do better if it dries out some like some mascaras do.

The Voluminous Feline Mascara retails for $8.99 at Ulta. I picked mine up on sale for the same price at Walgreens.

Have you tried this mascara, did it work better for you? Let me know below in the comments. Like I said, I hate giving bad reviews but not every product is a win and we all have our own personal taste and opinions.

  1. I really respect you for leaving an honest review here, especially because I was considering buying this mascara myself! A friend of mine has it and says she likes it, so it’s great to see your different opinion as well. I definitely have more thinking to do! Thanks for your opinion 🙂
