Get the Look | Autumnal Twilight | Fall Makeup Tutorial – Feat. KVD Saints & Sinners Palette

Moonlight Makeup- (1).pngIt’s my favorite time of the year for makeup tutorials. Fall! Today, continuing in last falls tradition, I have a look inspired by Type O Negative. Type O is my Autumn soundtrack as usual. Today’s look is featuring the Kat Von D Saints & Sinners Palette. I couldn’t wait to do a fall look with this palette.

I wanted to go with a classic fall vibe with oranges, reds, browns and a super vampy lip. If you want to see how I got this look, just keep ready below!

The Kat Von D Saints and Sinners Palette is the star of the show today. I wanted to use the vibrant orange and warm red tones in this beauty.

The Eyes

As usual, I am starting out this look with my eyebrows done and my eyes primed with the Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer Creme in 1 Light to blank out any pigmentation, and veins on my lid.

Autumnal Twilight (10)

I set the lid using Amen, which is the perfect base shade and brow bone highlight for my skin tone.

Next, I started on the crease with Martyr which is a toffee mid-tone brown shade perfect for a transition shade.

Autumnal Twilight (3)I took Martyr throughout the crease and into the transition area. I blended this shade pretty far out all around and toward the tail of the brow.

Next, I took Devil, a vibrant orange color into the crease more concentrated.

Autumnal Twilight (20)

I applied Devil deep into the crease and onto the lid slightly, Mostly focusing out the outer portion.

Autumnal Twilight (7)

Then I took Sacred Heart, a pearlescent coral shade on a flat brush.

I packed Sacred Heart all over the mobile lid and to the crease.

Autumnal Twilight (9)

This was a pretty look if I stopped here and just slapped on some mascara.

Autumnal Twilight (11)

But of course, I wanted more drama! So I took the shade Stigmata. A metallic Scarlett with that same flat brush.

Autumnal Twilight (5)

I applied Stigmata to the lid, leaving the inner corner out so Sacred Heart would show through. I blended Stigmata to the crease and made sure all the shades flowed into one another.

Autumnal Twilight (1)

To deepen the outer V I took Crucifix, a deep matte chocolate brown on a pencil brush.

I kept Crucifix lower on the lid and right at the outer corner of the eye.

Blending slightly, just enough so everytime looked seamless. I then patted a little bit on Rapture on the center of the lid with a dampened flat blending brush. Rapture is a “super glimmer SFX shadow, meaning it’s packed with glitter. Rapture is a warm rosy almost coral pink with pink glitters through-out.

Now for the lower lash line. I cleaned up any fallout and finished up the complexion. I tight lined the lower lashline with Nyx Faux Black in Oxblood. I also lined my upper lash line with Crucifix.

I took Devil on a pencil brush and blended it along the lower lash line and a little bit of Martyr as well on the inner portion.

Then I took a little bit of Stigmata on and applied it to the center of the lower lash line and then blended Crucifix onto the outer corner and into Stigmata. Autumnal Twilight (4)I made sure to connect Crucifix to the shadow on the upper lid.

Autumnal Twilight (19)

I finished the eye off with a couple coats of L’Oreal Lash Paradise.

The Lips

For the lips, I wanted to go super vampy but not black which is my default when I can’t pick a vampy lip. LOL. I went with Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick in Damned.
