Happy Halloween! Today I have another fall makeup tutorial to share with ya’ll. This look was inspired by the Exodus, a chartreuse green shade from the Kat Von D Saints and Sinners Palette and a late night with the green fairy last week.
And of course musical inspiration via Type O Negative’s Creepy Green Light.
This Halloween So unlike any other Her final words Don’t be afraid Of the green light
The autumn air Thickly fills my lungs so sweetly Reminds me of her smoky breath With wine and this bouquet of maple and oak leaves In death or life, we’ll always be
I find myself drawn to her shadow domain

It’s my favorite time of the year for makeup tutorials. Fall! Today, continuing in last falls tradition, I have a look inspired by Type O Negative. Type O is my Autumn soundtrack as usual. Today’s look is featuring the Kat Von D Saints & Sinners Palette. I couldn’t wait to do a fall look with this palette.
I wanted to go with a classic fall vibe with oranges, reds, browns and a super vampy lip. If you want to see how I got this look, just keep ready below!
Happy Friday! Today, I have an audaciously femme smoky eye tutorial perfect for hooded eyelids using the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette as part of my Urban Decay Naked Collection Series.
This look is perfect for a night out when you want all the drama on the eyes. This is one of those makeup looks that makes you feel bold, cool and confident. The shade of the eyeshadow is super flattering for hooded eyes and the colors from the Naked 3 I used are perfect for pale skin. It’s a deep rose gold eye with blackened purple liner paired with a matte cool toned mauve lip.

Happy Friday! For today’s post, I wanted to review the Makeup Revolution Retro luxe Matte Lip Kit. I have it for a few months now hanging out in my collection so I figured it was time to share some thoughts on it, cause I have a few.
“A little bit of retro, a little bit of luxe” Makeup Revolution says. Yeah, retro what? and very very little luxe. I picked up this lip liner and liquid lipstick kit to try out because I love trying out new and affordable liquid lipsticks, I got the shade Echelon because it looked like a nice browny mauve toned nude. The shade is nice but the nice pretty much ends there. The only redeeming thing about this kit is the lip pencil which is fantastic so essentially I paid $9 for a lip pencil which by the way doesn’t match the liquid lipstick by any means.
The packaging looks nice, but it’s plastic and really cheap feeling. I didn’t expect it to be fancy though. Just had hopes for a decent product.
Like, I said the lip liner included is great. it’s smooth, soft and pigmented. While it doesn’t match the lipstick at all, it’s a nice shade as is.
Let’s talk about this liquid lipstick. I can honestly say it is one of the worst ones I have ever tried and I have tried quite a few. Makeup Revolution claims it is long wearing and not drying. BS! Within 30 mins it was peeling, crumbling and flaking right off. It dried down yet still felt grossly tacky on the lips, like if you rubbed a glue stick on your lips. So gross. It leaves such an unflattering dry texture on the lips. It basically is everything you DON’T want in a lipstick.
Oddly enough swatched the liner and lipstick match in the picture below but it’s not the case.
As you can see, the liner on my lips is a peachy warm nude. I have gotten a fair bit of use out of this with other lipsticks so at least there is that, and it’s a nice shade.
Now for the liquid lipstick. Look at that texture. It’s so bad. It immediately began flaking away once it dried. BTW excuse my over lining there. LOL. I was playing around. I hate that this product was so bad because I love the color.
Don’t waste your $9 on this and just get one from Wet N Wild instead for less. This was by far the grossest feeling lipstick.
On a side note. I’m not sure how I even feel about this brand, to begin with. I have an eyeshadow palette from them, the Affirmation palette and a traditional matte lipstick and I enjoy them but I don’t think this brand has an original product. EVERYTHING is a copy of a high-end product, down to layout and packaging. Just seems kind of shitty so I think I am done purchasing from them. Why support a company that can’t make original quality products when there are so many other great brands that do. How are they not being sued left and right anyway?
What do you think of this lip kit? and of Makeup Revolution on a whole? Let me know below.
