So, I was really inspired by a couple of images I came across on Pinterest last week. I loved the colors and thought they would make a really cool eyeshadow look used together. I was going for something pretty/ugly, dystopian and futuristic.
And again I was feeling a Gunship song. I was really trying to capture the aura of the pictures in an eyeshadow look.
For this look I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette paired with Nyx Duo-Chromatic Illuminating Powder in Lavender Steel. On lips, I went with a full-on greige. If you want to see how I got this look, just keep reading below.
Happy Friday! Is it bad I am super excited because today is my cheat day. I have already had a donut, boudin kolache and a mocha latte this morning and I am working on a Dr. Pepper. Tonight, we are going to get dinner at Ghengis which is kind of like bibimbap that you pick out everything yourself and they cook it. I have been craving it for weeks but it’s a rice-based dish so I have been saving it for a cheat day. I might get a sushi roll too!
Anyway, today I have another retro-futurism/vaporwave inspired look. This one is called Pink Mist after a Gunship song again too. I saw the image in the background on Pinterest and I was so inspired by the colors and the geometric shapes and wanted to so a look based on it. For this look, I used shades from the Huda Beauty Electric Obsessions Palette, Warm Obsessions, and Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture.
I wanted to get a little out of the ordinary with this one and bring in some more avant-garde and goth elements with a colorful neon glow. I am really having fun stepping out of the box with color and just going by what feels good and not sticking to a formula.
What up guys. Time for a new makeup tutorial! Today I have this look called Retro Futurism. In a similar vein as my Tech Noir look it’s inspired by Gunship and vaporwave retro tech aesthetic. I have really been inspired to play with colors based on some of the retro-futurism artwork I have been coming across as well as the music.
And the Huda Beauty Electric Obsession Palette is perfect for creating bold and colorful looks. Seriously, if you like color check that palette out. Anyway, if you want to see how I got this look, just keep reading below.
For this look, I wanted to use bright peach, hot pink, purple and teal blue paired with a bright peach liner all the drama.
Hello beauties, this evening I have a new makeup tutorial to share using the Huda Beauty Mauve Obessesions Palette. This little palette just screams romantic berry tones. I wanted to do something soft yet dramatic and vampy. You know, my usual style with the addition of a glossy lip. So if you wanna see how I created this easy smoky eye look just keep reading below.
“I’m recording this because this could be the last thing I’ll ever say The city I once knew as home is teetering on the edge of radioactive oblivion A three-hundred thousand degree baptism by nuclear fire I’m not sorry, we had it coming A surge of white-hot atonement will be our wake-up call Hope for our future is now a stillborn dream The bombs begin to fall and I’m rushing to meet my love Please, remember me There is no more”
What up guys? I am so excited about today’s post. I have a look inspired by Gunship’s song Tech Noir. I am obsessed with Gunship btw. I have the album on repeat while I work and in the car constantly. As soon as I heard the song Tech Noir I wanted to do a look inspired by it and the retro-futurism vaporwave aesthetic AND I just got the Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes which were perfect for creating this look. Especially the Electric Obsessions. I have more looks in mind like this that will be coming for sure. I am super inspired right now and am bursting with colorful yet dark looks. But really, I haven’t heard a song or band in years that has pulled me in so deeply and grabbed me by the heart. It’s just magical.
